Privacy notice
This notice explains the information used to operate the daily word game. It should be reviewed again before adding analytics, advertising, accounts or other third-party services.

Information stored in your browser
The site stores your puzzle progress and personal game statistics in your browser's local storage. This lets the game restore the board and show your local record on the same browser. This data is not an account and is not synced across devices. You can remove local storage through your browser's site data or storage controls.
Information sent to the game service
When you submit a guess, the game sends that single word to the site's game endpoint so it can validate the word, calculate the color feedback and enforce the six-guess limit. The endpoint is designed not to save a player profile or a permanent game history in a server database.
Hosting and security information
The site is intended to be hosted using Cloudflare's web infrastructure. Like other websites, hosting and security services may process technical request information, such as IP address, request time, browser details and diagnostic logs, to deliver the service, prevent abuse and troubleshoot errors. The site's actual hosting configuration and provider retention terms should be checked before launch.
Essential game session cookie
The game endpoint sets an essential cookie named lg_session. It contains a signed session state with the current puzzle date and submitted guesses, is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, uses Secure on HTTPS, and expires after two days. It lets the server validate one guess at a time without creating a player account. It is not used for advertising.
Analytics and advertising
This initial implementation does not intentionally load an analytics or advertising tag. If analytics, advertising, embedded third-party features or other tracking tools are added later, this notice must be updated to describe them and any consent requirements before those tools are enabled.
Children and personal information
The site does not ask players to create accounts or submit a name, email address or other profile information to play. Do not put personal information into a word guess or send sensitive data through the site.
Contact and updates
This notice may change as the site evolves. Before the site launches publicly, its operator should publish a working contact method for privacy questions and requests, along with any information required by the jurisdictions in which the service operates.
