How the filters work
Turn clues into a shorter word list
Use the pattern field for letters whose positions are confirmed. Add yellow or otherwise required letters in the include field, then remove letters that the puzzle has ruled out. You can combine all three filters to find words that fit your clues.
Lock in known letters
Type a letter in its known position and use a question mark for every position you have not solved yet.
Keep required letters
Enter letters that must be somewhere in the word, even when you have not found their correct positions.
Exclude the rest
Remove letters you know are not in the answer. Check repeated-letter clues carefully before excluding a letter.
